Couples Therapy
Couples Therapy
Relationships are some of the most rich and rewarding containers in which we can get to know ourselves.
I specialize in supporting couples and relationships with managing their two-person system in a satisfying way, including developing more secure-functioning behaviors.
When it comes to relationships, context is everything. For that reason, the start of our couples therapy will involve an in-depth partner attachment interview (PAI), so that I can get a sense of the people, places, and experiences that helped to shape who each of you are. I strive to offer a balanced and non-pathologizing approach that can support you and your person with forming a container (“Couple Bubble”) together in which you can manage life’s obstacles, heal from betrayal, or be able to share yourselves authentically and constructively with one another.
If this is something you would like to work on together, I would love to hear from you.
I offer 50-minute and 75-minute sessions on a weekly basis for couples therapy.
My areas of specialization include working with:
Anxiety
Anxious (pursuer) <> Avoidant (distancer) attachment dynamics
C-PTSD and childhood emotional/relational trauma
Betrayal and infidelity
Boundaries
Communication
Conscious un-coupling & ending the relationship
Emotional and physical intimacy
Navigating opening/closing relationships
Navigating new/questioning identity(ies)
Preparing your relationship for pregnancy/children (e.g. “Managing Thirds”)
